We are a traditional GI practice - seeing patients and developing trusting relationship over a period of time. We are not a one-time contact GI care. We want to get our patients better and want to follow them as necessary. We do not prescribe narcotics. No workman's comp.
* This tells us about your GI issues and medical conditions. It makes it easier for the doctor to give you proper advice without wasting time at the time of the visit.
We accept most major insurances, but not Medicaid as primary insurance. When you let us know ahead of time, we can let you know in advance if we accept your insurance or not and give you estimate of cost of the visit ahead of time. This helps you make the right decision for your self. FYI: Our charges are low and some patients may choose to pay out of pocket and get the needed care rather than wait for months to see an accepting GI specialist whose charges may even be higher than us. The high cost of care may outweigh the small amount of office visit fee by a margin of thousands of dollars.
All new patients who have had any GI endoscopy such as EGD or colonoscopy in preceding three years, need to let us review the reports of the procedure and pathology. This needs to be done before we can decide if we are the right practice for you. We require potential patients coming for staff visit to provide this information upfront. If you do not have it with you, please contact your PCP to get copies of these reports in stead of not being able to see our GI doctor after the staff visit during which it is discovered that you do not have these reports.
It is important for us to provide safe, effective and appropriate care. We need detailed information about any illness serious enough to lend in you in an emergency room or resulting in hospitalization in last year. Your PCP gets a summary of hospital care usually and provide you with a copy of it.
Certain insurance require patient responsibility related to copay and deductible to be paid at the time of the service. To get seen by our GI specialist, this payment has to be made first. If not, then the visit can get delayed until it is financially feasible for you to make such payment. Please note that Medicare does not have this requirement and straight Medicare patients do not have to make such payment before getting seen by our GI specialist.
If you have any special needs or preferences, please let us know ahead of time. This gives us time to see if we can meet them and advise you properly. Medical offices have handicap ramps. Any person who cannot make decision for himself or herself needs to be accompanied by the power of attorney for medical decision-making to get seen by our GI specialist.
