Not all polyps can be easily detected.
Here is an example of a polyp that is not very difficult to detect, but can be missed. Can you see where it is?
Sometimes it is difficult to remove polyps from the cecum - the first part of the colon in the right side. Why?
Cecum is 3mm thin and removal of a flat polyp may result in perforation.
Look at some skillful removal of difficult polyp in stages.
Some patients have genetic condition that makes them go into what is called malignant hyperthermia when exposed to even a little bit of propofol. Not every place carries the antidote for this lethal problem.
When everything does not go well, one may wish questions were asked to the doctor before the procedure.
