Gastroenterology Doctors in Fairborn, OH and Williamsburg, OH (937) 716-1226
A diabetic patient was seen for severe diarrhea especially within a few minutes of starting a meal. If he went out with his wife, he had to get a table close to the rest room. Colonoscopy, EGD, stool tests and CT scan did not give diagnosis in spite of hefty medical bill. His diabetes was out of control. Antibiotics were prescribed for bacterial overgrowth. No response. Autonomic neuropathy was diagnosed. Miserable life continued. Patient saw doctors who were focused on procedures and tests. At this point they could not help him any more. His PCP wanted to put him on very expensive medicine to control his diabetes in addition to the common less expensive medicines he was already on.
His wife brought him to one of the doctors working with OhioGIMD. He took full and detailed history and made his recommendations. He followed them. His diarrhea stopped and his diabetes got under control. What did this gastroenterologist recommended to him?
